What we collect

• Account details: name, email, and password (stored as a salted hash).
• If you sign in with LinkedIn: your name, email address, and profile photo as provided by LinkedIn's Sign In service. We receive nothing else from LinkedIn.
• Tester profile details you provide yourself: role, company, industry, experience, skills, work email, and payout details (PayPal email or UPI ID).
• Beta content and feedback: tasks, questions, answers, and screen-recording links.

How we use it

• Matching testers to tests and showing tester profiles to test owners.
• Processing payments and payouts.
• Quality assessment: feedback submissions are analyzed by AI models to generate quality scores and aggregated insight reports for the beta owner.

What we don't do

• We never sell your personal data.
• We never post to your LinkedIn or contact your connections.
• We don't use your data to train AI models.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the EU/UK GDPR, California CCPA, India's DPDP Act, and Brazil's LGPD), you have the right to:

• Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Delete your account and data ("right to be forgotten").
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Receive your data in a portable format.

Testers can delete their account and all data instantly from the Settings page ("Delete account"). We retain only a minimal deletion record (your email address, the date, and counts of removed records — never their content) as proof the deletion was carried out. For anything else, email us — we respond within 7 days and never discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Cookies

We use only strictly necessary cookies: a session cookie to keep you signed in. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Page-view counting uses Vercel's privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics — no personal identifiers, no cross-site tracking.

Data retention & transfers

We keep your data while your account is active and delete it on request. Data is stored on cloud infrastructure (Vercel / Neon) that may be located outside your country; providers are bound by standard data-protection agreements.

Age requirement

FirstUsers is for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

Breach notification

If a data breach affects your personal data, we will notify you and the relevant authorities (including India's Data Protection Board where applicable) as required by law.

Data controller, grievances & contact

FirstUsers is operated from India. For any privacy request, grievance, or question, email hello@firstusers.live — grievances are acknowledged within 48 hours and resolved within 15 days. If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update this page and note the new date above.
